Undercoating

Has anyone in the more snowy areas of the US prepped their car for winter yet? I'm thinking i would like to get some sort of undercoating to protect the car but wanted to see what routes people have gone, whether it be DIY or professionally installed. I'm thinking i could get a few cans of fluid film and just spray the whole underside since it's technically not a permanent coating but should protect from salt. What have you done?

Have you taken a look underneath the car? Toyota has it covered pretty good, probably just need to hit up a couple of exposed areas but there's very little.
