Summary
Toyota has announced its decision to extend the production of the highly sought-after GR Corolla Circuit Edition into the 2024 model year, citing overwhelming demand from customers. The Japanese automaker originally planned to produce the Circuit Edition only for the 2023 model year, but changed its mind due to the immense enthusiasm and excitement surrounding the model. According to Toyota's marketing VP Michael Tripp, the decision to increase GR Corolla volume and continue offering the Circuit Edition in 2024 is a response to feedback from Toyota GR fans. The 2024 version of the GR Corolla Circuit will carry over some of the standard features from the 2023 model, but Toyota has yet to specify further. The 2023 model year will see the production of around 1500 Circuit Edition cars, with first deliveries planned for spring. Although Toyota has not revealed how many Circuit Edition cars it plans to produce for 2024, it is expected to be a similar number. The automaker has also hinted that production of the Circuit Edition for 2025 and beyond is still under consideration. With its front and rear limited-slip differentials, carbon fiber roof, big rear spoiler, leather-trimmed heated front seats, JBL audio system, and a Morizo-signed shift knob, the GR Corolla Circuit is considered by many enthusiasts to be the "one to have" out of the GR Corolla range, with a price point of $43,995.
