Songs limitation

Hello
I drive toyota corolla 2022.
I have 288 songs on my USB flash drive
when i insert the USB drive in the car only 255 songs are played
The USB works totally fine in my laptop

I also tried another USB drive and the songs number were limited to 255

Any help with this please?

This sounds like a software limitation to this former software engineer. 255 is 2^8 -1 (a short integer maximum) and was a typical max value once upon a time. Strange that this limit would exist in this modern age, but it does seem likely. Have you tried using directories to segregate your songs? It may be that the limit could be bypassed in this way. Not ideal, perhaps, but a potential workaround.
