Can we talk about top speed, please?

Hey folks,

Yes, the GR Corolla is speed limited to 143ish.

Now, cast your mind back to the Top Gear where Jeremy tested a Nissan GT-R IN JAPAN. In the episode, we learned that all cars are limited to 110 mph in Japan. BUT, when Jeremy arrived at a track in Japan, the GT-R was smart enough to shut off the speed limiter.

No chance the same is true here? Who could I even ask about this?

I've taken mine up to about 120 mph, and it was still climbing before I let off. Achieving a 143 mph limit wouldn't be difficult.

i had an emergency situation i can confirm that the 2023 GR corolla will bounce of the redline in sixth gear at 145 mph for at least 3 miles. its mechanically limited by gear ratio and rpm there is no artificial limit. total trip was 23 miles in 12 min emergency flashers on the whole time most of the time i was about 90-130 but did max it out on two sections of long straight highway.
